Beware Of The Trees !!!

Published by David McNish on

Over the past few weeks we have had a large number of trees and limbs come down due to the high winds that the camp has been experiencing. The Wednesday Work Group have been busy pruning off all the branches and leaf litter and burning it, as we need to get it off the ground as it becomes a haven for blackberries and rabbits.

Traditionally we have dumped it adjacent to the campfire circles for burning by groups but the amount of material has become excessive and has had to be reduced. Presently we are leaving the logs on the ground and will eventually cut them up for fire wood and stack them on the wood piles around the camp.

When camping at Treetops it is your responsibility to ensure that you don’t set up your camp within the fall zone of any tree.
